The Legion

Done a month ago.

I will also be registering as a tutor for year 1 and year 2 painting/layout courses. Right now I'm on a medical leave for at least a week but I will indicate when my form gets accepted. I am glad to tutor anybody on what I know and I'm hoping to not disappoint anybody!

"The Ravener" Sam Hung Ip

For my drama assignment about a man who lost everything in a Mahjong game and is out for revenge. Original, I know.

I tried to imitate Ashley Wood's style in the Metal Gear Solid comics but I don't think I have the same looseness as him. Maybe that's why he's Ashley Wood and I'm not...

I played a game

It's called "How many saturated colours can I balance at once".

I don't think I want to play this game again...

EDIT: Changed a few things after a few critiques from my instructor.

Placeholder Painting

Until I get my other one working, I'm going to use this for my painting assignment 1. It relieves me from the pressure of the deadline at least. Gotta love speed painting...

Grandma's Secret Weapon

Nothing says "Happy New Year" like Little Red Riding Hood going on a wolf massacre with blood spewing everywhere.

Hills like White Elephants

A rather risky interpretation, for English class, of Ernest Hemingway's Hills like White Elephants done in 2-3 hours on Photoshop. I wanted to avoid illustrating the story literally as I realized how incredibly boring the illustration might be if all the physical details were depicted accurately.

The Adventures of Xiao Long

I've been dying to recreate a comic I made in grade 6.

Then I saw what is on the cover and the content inside and decided to tone the concept down...

Maybe I'll revisit this at a later time and be truer to what was actually in it.

And just for kicks...

Random Character Designs 2

Trying out Richard Anderson's method of character idealization. It feels like I'm carving things out of random shapes which is pretty darn fun.

Detective Fleabottom

Gosh, I suck at creating interesting characters... Bugged Enzo far too much for this one.
